This course will mainly focus on the knowledge of garment quality management and the roles and responsibilities of quality checkers as well as quality controlling supervisors. Many methods to deduct defect rate are added to the course contents such as pre-production quality management, production-in-process quality management and post-production quality management.     

 

In addition, the detailed techniques of garment checking, garment measuring methods, defect cause investigation, defect prevention, quality problem solving methods are included in this course to ensure that the participants who attend this course will have enough ability to solve those problems as they are related to garment quality and occur regularly at work. The structure of quality management and information about AQL (accepted quality level) of some buyers will be provided through this course as well.

We would like to inform you that CARE Cambodia and GMAC’s training department are working together to organize the training course on “Gender & Sexual Harassment” for GMAC members for free of charge. This is two day training course and designed for HR managers and for those who are involved in making the work procedure/policy. This course is provided by CARE Cambodia in collaboration with Ministry of Women’s Affairs in purpose to provide key staff with information on gender-based violence, forms of sexual harassment, and how to address these issues in the workplace.

 

The participants will gain a broad understanding about Cambodia’s commitments to eliminate violence against women as well as discussing practical approaches for developing a work environment with zero tolerance for sexual harassment and discrimination. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a large cluster which includes compliance points related to other areas. Many areas related to OSH continue to be a challenge for garment factories and are often the result of a lack of proper policies, procedure and division of roles and responsibilities. OSH is the one out of top ten non-compliance issues in the Garment Industry 33rd Compliance Synthesis Report conducted by Better Factories Cambodia (ILO-BFC). Forming of functioning joint management/workers’ Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Committee is to ensure workers’ OSH.

 

GMAC in collaboration with ILO-BFC will organize a workshop addressing the issue and take following steps to ensure workers’ OSH thru forming a joint functioning committee. Dissemination workshop to be held as follows:

OSH is the one out of top ten non-compliance issues in the Garment Industry 33rd Compliance Synthesis Report conducted by Better Factories Cambodia (ILO-BFC). Forming of functioning joint management/workers’ Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Committee in order to ensure workers’ OSH.

 

GMAC in collaboration with ILO-BFC will organize a workshop addressing the issue and take following steps to ensure workers’ OSH thru forming a joint functioning committee. Dissemination workshop to be held as follows:

Training package on Gender and Discrimination for 28-29 of July

 
 

 

We would like to inform you that CARE Cambodia and GMAC’s training department are working together to organize the training course on “Gender & Discrimination” for GMAC members for free of charge. This is two days training course and designed for HR managers and for those who are involved in making the work procedure/policy. This course is provided by CARE Cambodia in collaboration with Ministry of Women’s Affairs in purpose to provide key staff with information on gender-based violence, forms of sexual harassment, and how to address these issues in the workplace.

 

The participants will gain a broad understanding about Cambodia’s commitments to eliminate violence against women as well as discussing practical approaches for developing a work environment with zero tolerance for sexual harassment and discrimination. These two days training also allow managers to gain a deeper understanding while also having the opportunity to plan for practical application of their knowledge.

A dispute generally can be settled thru the court or alternative. Alternative dispute resolution will benefits parties a lot, particularly parties’ relationship retention. A collective labour dispute can be made by many mechanisms such as negotiation, mediation, conciliation or by the arbitration council. The arbitration council is an independent body whose function is to resolve collective labour disputes with neutral and without bias. Training course Kaizen / Lean Basics

 
 

 

GMAC training department in cooperation with Kaizen Institute India to conduct two days  training course on Kaizen / Lean Basics on 16-17 July 2016 at GMAC. This course ideal for Factory Managers, Technical Managers, Production Managers & Production Planers, Quality Managers and Engineers, Industrial Engineers and Production Supervisors.

 

The course will introduce the basic concepts of Kaizen, the Japanese philosophy of Continuous Improvement. Participants would gain a thorough understanding of Kaizen concepts such as identifying Muda (waste or non-value added activities), improving workplace through 5S, improvements in flow (one-piece flow, cellular layouts, line balancing, standard work), quality improvements; and how to make systematic improvements and sustain those improvements.

 

The course will equip participants with ability to drive improvements in their organization the Kaizen way. The participants will know how to identify and eliminate all types of waste quickly and efficiently, improve productivity, reduce cost, improve quality, improve on-time delivery to customers; and most importantly, engage all people in the organization in driving continuous improvement.
